Hero, the third installment of the Epic series, is already the longest book in the Epic series to date. According to author Lee Stephen, the 120,000-word mark was recently surpassed, far beyond the 99,000 words that made up Dawn of Destiny.
"There's still a ways to go yet," said Stephen, "but I'm very pleased with what I've got so far. A book can't be long just for the sake of being long, it's got to have purpose. Hero definitely has that."
He went on to state that Hero could reach as many as 150,000 words before its completion.
Don't forget to check out the newest feature to the Epic Official Forums, the Weekly Excerpt! Every week, a quote from the Epic series will be posted for discussion, be it from Dawn of Destiny, Outlaw Trigger, or maybe a little glimpse from the future. It's something you won't want to miss!
You also don't want to miss what's going out on the Epic Newsletter. On the 1st of every month, Lee sends out a progress report on the series. On the 15th, you'll get an in-depth character analysis for two of the series' stars. We've already taken a look at Esther, Maksim, Becan, and Clarke. You don't want to miss who comes next! Sign up under the Community section of the official site.
Of course, I'll be re-posting the Epic Newsletter here as well.
